Medical Assistants work under supervision of the provider(s) on duty and a Clinic Manager, in a busy Urgent Care setting. Our MA’s provide patient care to the top of the medical assistant scope of practice and receive continuous training and skill development. We are not just in the business of patient care – we are also committed to your professional development.
Welcomes patients into clinic visit through obtaining past medical, social and family history utilizing advanced technology electronic medical record.
Professionally assists providers during examination and treatment including performance of phlebotomy, various testing, drug screens and medication administration as ordered.
Assists provider in minor procedures and injury treatment.
Performs ongoing use of CLIA Moderate Laboratory, EKG, spirometry and other equipment and maintenance as directed.
Directs and supports patient flow for a compassionate yet efficient experience
Supports colleagues in cross-trained activities including front desk and radiology.
- High school graduate or GED with training as a medical assistant or military medical specialist with a minimum of 12 months directly applicable work experience and current MA-C credentials in state employed according to state requirements and applicable regulations
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as a team member
- One year continuous experience in clinical operations or medical office work post externship
